Garment construction!

So in my garment construction we have started to put our designs into the real thing! So we start by doing it in paper. As easy as doing these look, they are far from it!

These are photographs of my first manipulation. Next i will change the neck curve and flare out the bottom of the dress. I will upload photos of my second manipulation soon! Chloe xo xo

Lines + Grids.

In an earlier post i showed a presentation based on trees, showing other artists work and my own!
I was looking at bright colours and although my samples dont look like trees, they refer to an earlier drawing which you can see in the other post!

This is a sample made from cotton, I used very bright water soluble dyes!

A colourful sample, using dyes, with bleach sprayed on top, i then cut the dyed fabric into strips and sewed them back together using a zig-zag stitch.

Another colourful sample, where i have destressed the edges and am having a couple of folds in it. This sample is not finished! This also has sprayed bleach on top!

Another sample, trying out a straight stitch instead of zig zag. I didnt like the straight stitch.

This was my first sample. I have used colourful dyes, sprayed bleach on top, trying out different stitch on top. And i have dyed the thread!

Colourful samplessssss
